A long time ago in a galaxy around the corner from your house, two guys went to see STAR WARS. They didn’t know each other and would not meet for many years until the Internet brought together their hopes and dreams of playing an active role in George Lucas’ STAR WARS universe. What better way of doing this than through customizing Kenner/Hasbro action figures, and adding more material to the continuum through a series of stop-motion movies and photonovels?
Dan Curto lives in Rochester, NY and counts having been a comic book illustrator and video game artist among his many life experiences. This background gave him the artists’ keen eye for color, detail and composition, which is evident in the hundreds of customized action figures currently on display elsewhere on this website.
Scott Corrales lives in Bradford, PA and believes that the Star Wars trilogy is the continuation of humankind’s great epic cycles: India’s Mahabarata, Greece’s Illiad, Britain’s Arthurian Cycle. His keen interest in photography and design has been pivotal in the creation of the photonovels based on the STAR WARS trilogy.
Together, these two creative forces have combined to bring you STAR WARS: THE UNTOLD ADVENTURES, which hope to present an "alternative" vision of how the Trilogy might have played out had a number of circumstances been different. What if Grand Moff Tarkin had been cloned? What if Luke had vanquished Palpatine before squaring off against Darth Vader? What if the Rebellion was barely holding its own against the Empire? These stories, created entirely through the use of clever backdrops and "reenacted" by an array of action figures, aim at delighting the viewer while adding to the sense of wonder inspired by George Lucas’ space epic.
In Dan Curto’s words: "These stories are meant to be fun. Sometimes we follow continuity, sometimes not. But as long as we enjoy telling the stories, and you enjoy reading them, we will continue to bring them to you!"
"Most people will consider that engaging these activities constitutes a waste of time," notes Scott Corrales, "but if we can get just one out of every twenty visitors to the page to go 'Hmmm! Interesting!' we will have accomplished what we set out to do."
Enjoy your visit, and as always, "May The Force Be With You."
