Since Hasbro/Kenner has yet to actually make this figure, I decided to do a second X-Wing Pilot Luke. My first X-Wing Luke used the figure Kenner declared as an X-Wing Luke, but which we all know to be a Snowspeeder pilot Luke, as a base but this time I used Biggs Darklighter as a base. I swapped the head of Biggs with that from a Ceremonial Luke, which had to have its neck cut down so it would not look to long. I painted the vest and straps a matching flat white and the rank cylinders on the left arm silver. I added a standard Blastech hand blaster with its barrel painted silver for weaponry. I plan in the future to make a helmet for Luke using the helmet from Blastshield Luke, as well as making a saber hilt that can be removed from the belt. When these additions are complete, pictures will follow.
Update 7/25/02: Well
as we all know Hasbro finally got around to doing an actual X-Wing Pilot Luke in
the POTJ line, although it's the most queer looking figure ever. Well instead of
using a POTF2 Blastshield Luke helmet, I took the helmet from the POTJ
X-Wing Luke and gave it to my version to finally make it complete. It only took
2 years to do it. :)
