After the events of The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker and his Rebel friends begin their search for Han Solo who has been captured in carbonite by Boba Fett. During the storyline of Shadows of the Empire, Luke is hunted down by Prince Xizor of Black Sun. Xizor knows of Luke's lineage and in an attempt to embarrass Darth Vader in the eyes of the Emperor, plans to have Luke killed. Luke and his friends thwart Xizor's plans and eventually find Han at Jabba's Palace in Return of the Jedi.
A while back I saw that someone did this custom and knew I wanted to do it too, by the way this custom was in a SOTE diorama displaying the Rebel's escape from Xizor's palace, so if this was you send me a line, I liked your work. Anyways this is a simple head swap and re-paint but I really enjoyed making it. I swapped off the head of a Commtech Han Solo with that of a Blastshield Luke and painted the entire body a flat black. The vest of course was painted yellow to match Luke in the SOTE comics and novel cover. I then added a Jedi Luke saber, gave it a wee bit of detailing (the black rings on the hilt) and presto the custom is complete! By the way note that the left arm of the CT Han makes for a really good "Force" hand pose, makes Luke look like he's actually using the Force to levitate something or choke someone!
