At Rebel installations all across the galaxy you can find technicians keeping the equipment and ships that are used to continue the struggle against the vile Empire. In A New Hope many of these techs can be seen making repairs or fueling up an X-Wing or Y-Wing on the Rebel base at Yavin 4. If not for these men and women, the vessels of the Alliance would not have been able to stand up against the assault of the Imperial forces and win the day by destroying the first Death Star.
The Rebel Technicians can be seen in ANH wearing a simple jumpsuit with a helmet similar to the Rebel Fleet Troopers on top of their heads. Some wore gloves, some didn't, but all wore the same dull color of gray. To make this figure I took the head off of an AT-ST Driver, whose jumpsuit is the same as the techs. Compare the two in their respective movies, you will see what I mean. Of course the Rebels didn't have Imperial insignia on their arms as did the AT-ST Drivers, so to cover this up, I painted the body a light gray. In the end this not only covers the insignia but also makes the coloring a tad different. To replace the head, I added a RFT's head. I decided to keep the gloves on and gave the Rebel Technician a comlink from a Lobot and what was left from a POTF2 Wave 1 Luke's grappling hook blaster. These remnants where carved into what you see above, a scanner to check for faulty wiring and other problems in a Rebel equipment.
