Since I have 3 seperate Death Star diorama montages to share, I decided to put them all under this one section. They're broken down by the Vintage Death Star Playset, Princess Leia's Rescue, and the Emperor's Arrival, enjoy....
1.) The Vintage Death Star Playset

At a Collectibles show this past summer, I picked up this complete vintage Kenner Death Star and immediately filled with all sorts of Imperial Officers and Troopers. The first picture, shows an overall view of the Death Star, on the very bottom you can see the Dianoga trying to escape the trash compactor. As shown in detail in the 3rd pic, on the middle levels, Stormtroopers patrol the decks, as Naval Troopers stand guard. An Imperial Technician, scans the computer sensor readouts for any traces of Rebel spies. In the background Darth Vader confers with Grand Moff Tarkin over the ineptness (and eventual execution by decapitation) of a subordinate officer. On the top level, as shown by the 2nd pic, Stormtroopers stop an R2 unit, to insure that it is loyal to the Empire and not trying to sabotage the station's cannon. Also you can see Darth Vader and his son Luke Skywalker duel it out for the entertainment of the Emperor.

This diorama depicts the rescue of Princess Leia by the unlikely hero tandem of Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Chewbacca. As the two humans don Stormtrooper gear, they attempt to enter the detention cell where the Princess is being held captive. However, the Imperials figure out their plan and attempt to stop them. Tons of Stormtroopers led by Naval Troopers fire a barrage at the Rebels, but soon they will be out of one danger, and into another..
Note: The Death Star Trooper is a custom.

This rather small bookshelf diorama, depicts the Emperor's Arrival. Along with an envoy consisting of his Royal Guards and the leader of the crime organization Black Sun, Prince Xizor, the Emperor arrives for an inspection. Greeted by Darth Vader, Grand Moff Tarkin, Admiral Motti, Colonel Wulff Yularen, and Captain Piett, the Emperor is ready to take a look at his prized possession, the Death Star.
Note: Yes that is the background from the EU figure Kyle Katarn doubling as an Imperial Shuttle. One day I will have an actual Shuttle to take its place!
