This is the correct way Luke Skywalker should look in his X-Wing Pilot's uniform. Now while the figure that Kenner released was incorrect based on Star Wars: A New Hope, it was correct based on Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back, where th
e pilots all wore the same gray gloves and boots. The figure was released in the second assortment Kenner made, which just happened to be an all ESB assortment.
I made this figure by using the extra Luke head I had from the Jedi Leia figure. I used the pop and boil method to remove the helmet-head of the Luke pilot and then slapped on the Luke head. I then took black paint, and added the proper amount to the boots and gloves, to give it the ANH look. Then using a dremel power tool, slowly shaved the face off of the helmet-head of the pilot, this took quite some time, and unfortunately, I was unable to successfully make the helmet capable of fitting on Luke's head. Since I had an extra short blue saber around now, I cut off the blue saber part from the handle, and glued the handle to the pilot's belt, giving Luke the full grand look!
