Sgt. Brooks Carlson

After Imperial General Crix Madine defected to the Rebel Alliance, he helped many of his former personnel do the same. One of those defectors was veteran pathfinder and army officer, Brooks Carlson. Having served his entire life in the Empire, Carlson knew many of the tactics the Imperial forces would use on Endor to protect the shield installation. With this knowledge, Madine recruited Carlson into General Han Solo's commando unit as a scout with the Alliance rank of Sergeant. Sgt. Carlson served gallantly at the Battle of Endor, eventually helping the Rebel forces take down the shield generators that were protecting the Death Star.

After getting several of the brand new Saga Endor Rebel Soldiers, I knew I just had to make a custom Endor soldier. After looking through some promotional pictures from Return of the Jedi, I noticed an old man who was amongst the Rebels. I then went through Decipher's website until I found this picture of the old man. Decipher had given him a name, Sgt. Brooks Carlson, and a vague biography for their card game, so I decided to go forth and make him while also adding a bit more to his bio. The majority of this figure comes from Saga Endor Rebel Soldier, the only things that don't come from it are the legs, which come from a POTF2 Endor Rebel Soldier, and the head which comes from an Episode 1 Chancellor Palpatine. I chose the legs as the promo pics showed Carlson to be taller than most of the Rebels and I chose the head cause it was the only old man head I had and it somewhat matched the pictures with the helmet on. I did some adjustments to the arms as well as with all the articulation on them, the arms are actually 3 pieces, shoulder, elbow, and hands. What I did was swap the hands onto the other's arm, and then put each arm on the other side of the torso than originally, this give the figure the ability to hold his rifle higher up than before. With all the added accessories, this is a great addition to my Endor diorama.
