One of the Incom Engineers who defected to the Rebel Alliance, Mas Lien served the Alliance with valor at the Battle of Yavin working to prepare the X-Wing fighters for their combat against the Death Star. Mas is an amateur expert in Krayt Dragons. Although Alliance Intelligence has cleared him, it is rumored that he observed a secret Imperial program which cloned Kryat Dragons as war beasts. Lien refuses to discuss that event, even with the closest of friends. Although his medical records show no mention of prosthetics, Lien appears to have a mechanical hand as a result of that encounter.

A Rebel Technician has been a figure I've wanted to make for some time. When I couldn't find an AT-ST Driver for the jumpsuit, I was overjoyed by the design of the Imperial Officer. When an unexpected metal peg Luke landed in my lap, I had to make him! When the Alan Grant head fit the best, the character fleshed out in my mind. :)

It's a very simple parts swap and repaint. Started with spray painting the entire figure black, then added 5 washes of a medium grey. A bit of brown on the belt, silver on the belt buckle and a generic rebel technician is born.
