Talon Karrde made his debut in the novel HEIR TO THE EMPIRE. He ran a smuggling operation on the planet Myrkyr, where Ysalamiri are found. His operations were abandoned when the Empire discovered him. He has since become an ally of the New Republic, and he has appeared in various novels and comics since.

Karrde was the figure that got me started in customizing seriously in the first place ( I had done Carnor Jax , his Black Stormtrooper and an Imperial Scanning Crew man ). Back in '98 I had tried to make him several times unsuccessfully. So I quit for a long while and eventually came up with the idea of my C'baoth. After getting some confidence with C'baoth, Fel and Tessek I stared on Talon again, but I realized I needed to do something different since he and C'baoth both used a Bowen head, I came up with giving him really long hair. Before anybody thinks I forgot the fur around the vest, I didn't. a) I've not seen anybody make the fur look really good on a custom Karrde. b) in several issues of Dark Force Rising his vest is drawn without any fur.......Special thanks to Ralph Antone for the use of the camera and getting me the Dagobah Luke.
