You can't have a 181st T.I.E. Interceptor without Baron Soontir Fel to pilot it! :-) I boiled and poped both figures apart and used an exacto knife to cut the torso of the t.i.e. pilot apart. I used a dremel to hollow out the T.I.E. Pilot's helmet. I then cut the post off of the Korso head and used a dremel to hollow out a hole for the head post from the T.I.E. Pilot. I had to cut some of the neck off so when the helmet is on, the control box lines up with the square part on his chest, then glued it on. I painted his hair black and added a goatee. I also tried to use a wash to give him some stubble. I used a little too much and I didn't get the look I really wanted. It looks more like a beard than a 5 o'clock shadow. Using a dremel, I cut off the kneepads of the snowtrooper and filed the backs of them down a little bit into a U shape. I then glued them on the knees of the figure. After the glue dried, I painted the red stripes on his arms and pant legs and painted the kneepads black. I then cut off Korso's gun holster using the same approach as the kneepads, glued it and and painted them black. (Make sure you only glue them to the BOTTOM part of the knees). I glued the figure back together and then painted the vest a light, light gray (can't remember the actual name of the color. I wish Model Master would start putting the names on the bottles!) After it dried, I went over the figure with dull coat.
