At last, I have found a use for this WOW Female Action Figure. While the new likeness Leia's head looks OK. I find it too pouty. The Ceremonial Leia's face has softer features and hopefully with a makeover can resemble Carrie Fisher better.
First, Cut off the bun of hair from Leia's head and cut the trunk from the waist down. Do the same for the WOW figure. The problem with the WOW figures is that they are almost 4 " tall. Therefore, I had to cut off a few centimeters from the lower legs and had to sand off plastic away from the waist.
Shave off Leia's hair. Create the buns with sculpey. I mixed black and chocolate brown colored sculpey to achieve the shade I want. This newly discovered technique is really convenient for me since I'm not very good with painting. Make-over. In this case, I thought the Ceremonial Leia's eyebrows are higher than Carrie Fisher's so I erased them and painted them lower. Carrie Fisher also had heavy eyeliner, I did the same to this figure.
Attach Leia's boots to the WOW figure's lower legs and remove the paint from the knee caps. Attach Leia's Trunk to the lower body (DUH....). In this case I added a small amount of sculpey on the lower body and applied krazy glue. Then I blow dried it for 5-10 minutes. Cover the lower legs with towel when you blow dry because the cheap plastic melts and warps easily. Put on her skirt and belt back.
Creating the hood was easier than I thought. I would have opted for a cloth hood but that would deviate too much from the "Inspiration". Flatten a small ball of white colored sculpey and drape it over her head and shoulders. Then blow dry for around 10 minutes. Repaint the belt with white and silver and walahhh....your upgraded Princess Leia with hood up and articulated knees!
