Years ago, there was a new up-and-coming card company who put out a series of cards showcasing the new up-and-coming characters that had not yet found a publisher. Some of these characters were created by established artists, some were created by amateur artists. Many of the characters featured in this series went on to become comics published by independent companies...many did not.

While attending a comic convention, I saw a flyer stating that this company was planning on launching a second series of cards and were seeking new artists' creations. I submitted 4 designs: 2 super-heroes (which I may show off one day) and these two DEADLINE cards.
