Believe it or not, I have had this custom planned for over a year! I always thought he was an interesting alien character, and I like the fact that an alien was in charge of the Bespin Guards.
A lot of sculpey was used on this guy to create the jacket of the Bespin Guards, but Utris has a fancier version for himself. I also sculpted the head, and Ric was the perfect choice, because he has a big forehead already.
Once the sculpting was complete, I smoothed it out and cured it. Then I started painting. Originally, I used a much darker blue color for his outfit, but changed it to a slightly brighter shade, because Cloud City needs colorful costmes, and the dark color just didn't look right.
Finally, I sculpted a "holster" for his club, which was cured while it was stuck, so it makes a perfect holster for his weapon.
