From ambassador to thte Old republic to slave of the Empire, this tall powerfully built Wookiee has seen all sides of life from an unusual perspective. Ralrra (short for Ralrracheen) has a speech impediment that allows him to speak Basic, which proved useful when he was Kashyyyk's ambassador to the Old Republic. As a slave to the Empire, he was used by his Imperial masters to communicate with other Wookiees. At first, he tried to resist Imperial occupation forces but forced himself to comply after they executed a dozen women and children from his family unit. His proximity to Imperial officers provided him with information vital to the Alliance's effort t free Kashyyyk. Now, like most Wookiees, he feels he owes a life debt to the Alliance for its efforts. When Chewbacca brought Princess Leia Organa Solo to Kashyyyk to keep her safe from Grand Admiral Thrawn's Noghri Death Commandos, Ralrra was one of two Wookiees assigned to protect her.

Ralrra was a pretty interesting custom to make. I started with a simple repaint, and then added the cloak. First, I had to cut off Chewbacca's pouch from his leg. I did this by first boiling the figure and cutting the pouch off. Then I sculpted the leg his new fur. (I saved the pouch for a future custom.)

In the HEIR TO THE EMPIRE comics, they show Ralrra with braids in his fur, so I wanted to add that. I decided to sculpt more of a mane to his face, so I added more sculpey to it and mad the longer hair. The problem with the comics, is that they don't show him very well, mostly from the back, behind other characters, or very small to see any details.

I made a slit in Momaw's cloak in the back so they sword could be sheathed. This turned out really well (see picture below) and I really like the way it turned out.
