Ponda Baba appears in the Cantina in A NEW HOPE, where he makes the mistake of picking a fight with a Jedi Knight. Ben slices off his arm, and Ponda limps away. Ponda appears with Dr. Evazan in their own story in TALES FROM THE MOS EISLEY CANTINA, where Ponda gets a new mechanical arm, and then a new cloned body.

I simply cut off the arm! Then, I had to figure out how to get it to go back on...I used a screw that twists into the upper part and actually stays put! A fun job.
