Created in 1992, Max Pierce has been a character that I have been kicking around in the back of my mind for almost 10 years! I decided it was high time to drag him out of the garage and do something with him!

Max was a Corellian Security ("CorSec") Officer before he was captured by Trandoshan slavers. He was sold into slavery and for eight years was forced to work for the Empire. Max eventually escaped and made his way back to civilization.

Max created a new identity as a bounty hunter, mostly hunting down slavers and protecting those who could not defend themselves. His reputation soon grew, and he became one of the most hated and feared men in the galaxy. No contract was too small, but his targets often fulfilled a sense of justice for him.

Years later, Max formed DEADLINE -- a team of hunters that could help him bring justice to the galaxy. Although he mostly goes on solo missions, Max sometimes leads small teams on larger jobs.

This custom had 2 different versions to him.
Since I have changed Max a bit over the years, I wanted to something with STAR WARS as the inspiration. So I decided to use the Stormtrooper gauntlets, the bandolier bootcuffs, and the Corellian bloodstripe. I also wanted him to be well over 6' tall, so I had to get a little creative with the parts I chose.

I cut the limbs apart from the figures and glued them together. I then painted the figure and added the jacket. this proved to be difficult, because the jacket needed to be glued to the body, but getting it to match up with the belt was a little tough.

You can see the original version of Max here. This was my COTW entry at Rebelscum.com. Some of the feedback I got was that his glasses were too big (which I knew) and his boots looked too small. The arm hair I painted on also looked like some bizarre tatoos...not really the look I wanted. So I changed his boots, carved him some new glasses, and repainted the hairy arms. I think he looks much better now!
