Kyle Katarn was the one responsible for capturing the battle plans for the original Death Star. His story begins in the video game, which was adapted into an illustrateed novel called SOLDIER FOR THE EMPIRE. There was also a cassette version, which was really cool, as well.

I repainted the pieces and gave him a bunch of guns, just like he has in the game. I decided to make him with a trenchcoat as he appeared in the book, since I actually have not played the full version of DARK FORCES. I used a brown marker on his coat, and the rubbed it off a bit. I wanted it to have a "beaten-up" look to it.
