One of my favorite characters from the latter Marvel Comics STAR WARS stories, Kiro was a peaceful man from the water world of Iskalon. The Rebellion was considering making a new base on Iskalon, but the school (Iskalon tribe) decided against it. Kiro joined the Rebellion to learn the ways of the Jedi from Luke Skywalker. In order to travel out of water, Kiro needed to wear a special water-breather suit, which is represented here. Kiro later was wounded in a battle and returned to Iskalon, a bitter warrior and became a lone protector of the Iskalon water world.

I had this figure in the planning stages for quite some time, but only recently finished him. The body took no work at all, since I already liked the color. The head was the challenge. I used a Luke X-Wing head that had been carved out of the helmet, and I added sculpy to make the hair and eyes. Then, I carved out a faceplate in the front of the helmet and painted it. It is not perfect, but it does look similar to the way Kiro was shown back then.
