Jawas are the small traders of Tatooine who collect, trade, buy and sell small part and droids they come across on the planet's surface. They appear in their Sandcrawlers, in the Mos Eisley Cantina, in Jabba's Palace, and pretty much anywhere there are credits to be earned.

I simply put a Jawa head onto the Emperor's body. Then I painted the whole thing. That's it!
