I guess I like green-skinned aliens! With all the talk of possible Duros figures being made, I thought I'd beat Hasbro to the punch and make my own! Now, there is some discussion of just how the Duros are related to the Neimoidians, but I am not too interested in that. Aliens can easily look similar, just like humans.
I named this guy after my daughter and wife, by mixing up their names. Here is a story I made up for him:

Issa Teins comes from Nar Shadda, where many smugglers and thieves can be found. He smuggled glitterstim for the Hutts, often making the Kessel Run, but not in record time. Teins was part of the defense Han Solo organized when the Emire planned to destroy the "Smuggler's Moon," narrowly escaping death when his ship crashed into part of the orbiting wreckage. Issa was rescued by Rik Duel and brought back to ground.

Years later, Issa became involved with a crimelord named Drebble. Drebble operated out of the Stenax system, so Issa moved his operations there. Most of his time is now spent transporting supplies for the taverns Drebble runs.

This started out as a simple head-swap (and hand-swap), but I decided to get a little more creative. I sculpted the head so it was round on top, and not flat (which is what happens when you remove the headgear.) Then I painted his jacket different colors and made it dirty with a dry brush technique. Then I rubbed off part of the paint, so the original colors came through. I did the same thing to the skin colors, only not as drastic. Then I painted the eyes red and added some small details on the jacket.

Interesting note: The neck is not glued in, but is stuck in the collar. It moves, but it also can come off of you pull too hard. Since I don't play with these customs, this is no big deal to me.
