The Gungan Grand Army consists mostly of militiagungs, or part-time soldiers. Individuals provide their own uniforms, resulting in some variation in gear and clothing.

An interesting discovery...Momaw Nadon has some great-looking limbs for custom Gungans!!

I popped all the parts off and then cut off Tarpals' and Momaw's hands and feet. Then I switched them. I wanted the figure to be similar to the reference photo, standing at the ready, rather than in some action pose. This explains why his arms are straight down.

I know that chances are the picture shows a white Gungan just because it's a sketch, but I liked the idea of a white Gungan. Maybe he's an albino. Maybe he is wearing warpaint. I decided that he should be a Gladiator, maybe of another tribe than Boss Nass's. In this other tribe, this guy would be the champion in their gladiator ring. (Hey, the Gungans must practice their skills somehow!) I will have to think of a cool name for this guy...any ideas?

For his shoulder pads, I sculpted them about 4 times and each time they came out bad. When I remembered the Azrael Batman had a similar cape, I knew I had it! I cut off the cape part and repainted it. BUT, it was too shiny, so I dirtied the red armor up a lot. The paint has started to peel off, but I don't mind so much...it looks like this guy has seen some combat!

Of course, I also dirtied up his skin,and repainted the strange spear thing I had lying around in my box of "extra crap from other toys"!
