His name is Drebble. Captain Drebble. He travels the galaxy in his ship (THE COBRA) with his partner ("The Wookie With No Name") searching for fame and glory. Or stealing it from those who have it.

Or so he would have you believe..."Captain Drebble" is really an alias for Lando Calrissian, when he is going undercover trying to get info from the lowlifes of the galaxy. The name "Drebble" is actually the name of an old enemy of Lando's, and Lando hopes to one day get the real Drebble in trouble by assuming his name.

In the old Marvel Comics STAR WARS #79, Lando and Chewbacca seek out info on the whereabouts of Han Solo, so they take on these roles to infiltrate a smuggler's group on Arcan IV. In the story, Lando dons a wig, an eyepatch, and a outlandish outfit and tricks the group into believing that he can help them find a pair of priceless statues. What they don't know, is that Lando actually HAD the statues all along.

Now, THIS is a fun custom!! The hardest part was trying to figure out what parts to use, especially for the cape! His cape is unlike any other STAR WARS guy, in that it goes around the body, not over it.

I began by cutting all the pieces that I wanted from the various figures and painting them. (The arms were already cut from old customs figures.) Then, I glued them into the correct positions. The skirt does not go all teh way around, as there wasn't enough room between the torso and groin areas....so I shaved it off to wedge in between. It does stay put, but you can remove it.

Now for the cape! It is actually made up of 2 pieces. The first is the General Lando cape, simply repainted. The "overcoat" is a Garinda cape cut shorter, and the bottom half was glued onto the front to "wrap" the figure. The collar is a piece of the Greedo vest glued into place. Then the whole thing got painted.

the "wig" is sculpey formed on top of the Boushh helmet. I cut the helmet down to fit snugle on Lando's head, and sculpted the hair. It takes a little work, but it is removable. The knife belt and eyepatch are pieces of tape that were colored black. The "knives" are just slivers of plastic from the cape.
