This character is so obscure, he doesn't even have a name! He first appeared in the ANAKIN SKYWALKER comic book for about 2 panels, and then again in a "deleted scene" from that comic that was part of the STAR WARS 1/2 issue from Wizard magazine for two pages (see reference shots below.)

He is the deep spacer that tells Anakin about the "Angels" on the Moons of Iego." I thought he had a unique look to him, and he would make for an interesting custom!

This was a fun custom! I started with the Greedo body because he had the side panels on the uniform that was shown in the comic. I had to make up some of the details for the legs, since they weren't really shown very clearly.

Once got the parts glued into place, I started sculpting his spacesuit. I wanted to try an maintain the articulation of the body, so I added sculpey to the joints to cover the screws and the mismatched limbs.

I trimmed away some of the beard from Ben's chin in order to mimic the sideburns and goatee. Came out pretty good! I also added some plastic pieces for the goggles for his headgear.

Just for fun, I added a drybrush technique to the uniform, just to give it a cool texture. I added kneepads to his partially to cover up the joints, and also to add another level of detail to the custom.
