In the summer of 1999, I teamed up with my new buddy Scott Corrales, and we presented an original serialized weekly photonovel called THE UNTOLD ADVENTURES. It picked up after EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and sort of replaced RETURN OF THE JEDI.

During this saga, it was revealed that a clone of Grand Moff Tarkin was created. "Taarkin" took over the operations of the imperial base of Trabin Kex. Later in the story, Vader siezed control of the Empire in a blind rage and led the events that caused the end of the Empire. Taarkin was able to survive the Battle of Trabin Kex by wearing the armor of the prototype Darktrooper armor, which Vader had brought to the base shortly after the Battle of Yavin.

Taarkin will reappear as the main antagonist in the upcoming sequel (tentatively titled "REVENGE OF THE EMPIRE"), still wearing the Darktrooper armor. As you can see, he has been in quite a few "test runs" and while it is not totally unscathed, it is intact.

All I did here was boil and pop the heads. Then, I drilled a hole in the helmet, so that "Taarkin" can wear it. In addition, I also REALLY dirtied him up with brown and black washes, along with some white "acid burns". In addition, I recruited my son to help add some blast shots and scrapes. He did this by stabbing the figure with a screwdriver and dragging him on the ground, and hitting it with a hammer! All of you out there cringing at the thought of damaging a Darktrooper....rest assured, I have another one!
