This customs was certainly a challenge! Not many STAR WARS figure are made with skin-tight clothing! I had to improvise a bit and use some unusual parts. Since I had the arms left over from another custom (and I don't have any Dagobah Luke arms at the moment), I repainted them to more human colors. The same with the legs.
I glued on new hands and sculpted the gauntlets, armbands, boot cuffs, and holster onto the body. After curing the sculpey, I repainted them. I wish the holster was functional, but ah well...
The beard was the most fun for this guy...although very fragile...good thing I don't often PLAY with these things! :)
The shoulder pads were the biggest challenge. I originally cut off pieces from a plastic cape for them, but they didn't quite work out the way I wanted them to look. So, I ended up rolling a long flat piece of sculpey, and then cut it to the correct shape. The results were so good, I gave him a collar too!
I also painted the blaster the same color as the comics showed it, although comics back then had a really limited palette.
Finally, the belt buckle is actually from an arm stem from another figure!
