At first, this seemed like a simple custom....just switch the parts around. But the arms of the Stormtrooper don't fit the Clone Trooper chest at all! They are similar, but there are enough differences. But the added shoulder articulation was what I wanted, so I decided to add the chest as well. I sacrificed movie accuracy for added articulation. Plus, now he has even more weathering and battle damage, thanks to the Stormtrooper's blast effect.
Splitting the Stormtrooper torso apart is challenging! Back when I did my Han & Luke as CT Stormtroopers, I learned that it needs to be split open with a pair of pliers or a flathead screwdriver.
Another change that was needed was to cut the length of the bicep down so the Clone forearm would pop into place. You can see the differences in the comparison shot below.
