Ralph McQuarrie was the original artist for STAR WARS. He designed the "first look" of many of the charcters we are familiar with now, some of whom had a much different look than they do today. This early version of C-3PO shows a more feminine side to the droid.

This is actually my second attempt at this custom. I had some "issues" with baking sculpey that I had to work out.

For this version, I opted for the skinnier "unfinished" C-3PO to try to get that feminine look. I sculpted a new body, BOILED the sculpey this time, and then gave him a paint job. While this is much better (to me) than my first try, I am still not totally happy with it. I may try to make this custom again in the future....
