Baron Soontir Fel was the best tie pilot in the empire. He first appeared in the ROGUE SQUADRON comic book series. He later appeared in several novels, including "VISION OF THE FUTURE", where he sports an eyepatch.

I'd been planning to do this guy for some time, and when Dan Curto announced him as a "Character Call" for the customs listserv, it helped kick me into finishing him. I had always intended to use Phillipe's head as the receding hairline looked very nice. I opted for the Biggs torso simply because it was economical. I used the TIE arms because they have the imp insignia on them, and I used the pilot legs out of necessity, a decision I regret now. I wish I'd used Biggs' legs as well.

The helmet was the most fun. I figured that since he was fighting for an independent branch of the former empire, he'd be allowed to have a custom helmet. I would have liked, and would still like, to paint some "hand of Thrawn" symbols on the helmet, but don't quite know how, or what they'd look like.
