I started off hoping and praying that I would find a Panaka in time. Once this was achieved, I yanked it off! (I boiled him for his head, and the helmet popped off too! if I hadn't needed it done anyway I would have been ticked :) I cut the back off, painted it and added a feather from Logray's staff for the plume.
I next tried to yank the legs from the WC guy as he'd been cracked before and the glue wasn't holding well. Well, it held alright, I got peg-less legs! Luckily I have what seems to be a lifetime and a half supply of abs cement (some awesome stuff, I highly suggest picking some up if you have the means, it's great for when stuff has to stick, forever) I painted them and put on the stripe, no biggie.
The Han head was a cast, so that explains the eyes, I plan to redo them…maybe a Deluxe Obi-Wan?
The arms were relatively easy, the detail was a welcome ease compared to the jacket. I don't like the ribbing, but I can deal with it...the chest was the biggest pain in the vrelt. The entire jacket is clay, as is the cummerbund and collar. That was the easy part. I wasn't sure about the details on the jacket, I described it to my friend as, "Remember the back of the Three Amigos' jackets?" anyway, I decided to drag an x-acto knife for the lines, and used a little nail for the holes, not the best idea, but hey, it's me :) the pain was getting the paint just right, white is skimpy, brush on white, get it on the blue, blue is skimpy, brush on blue... get the picture?
I showed this pic to a marching band buddy of mine and he wants one of himself, which is good, 'cause I was gonna make one anyway. I plan to have them carded and have inside joke Commtech lines and the whole schpeal (sp? I've always wanted to know how to spell that).
Finally, I hate having to say this, but the hat does not fit as of yet. I'll look into it, but it's not likely.
